Essential Critical Infrastructure Work

  • On March 19, 2020, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a memorandum reiterating that employers serving the critical infrastructure industry have a special duty to maintain their normal work schedules to prevent disruption to the supply of agricultural goods, food, gas, electricity, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, residential shelters, telecommunications, transportation and water. The CISA also distributed an initial list of “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” to help local government officials protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health, safety, and national security.
  •
  • Oldcastle Infrastructure supplies numerous products that have been deemed critical infrastructure work, including precast concrete products, and we intend to make every effort to comply with CISA’s mandate. We are committed to helping our employees, communities, customers and suppliers safely navigate the difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are closely following protocols established by governing authorities, particularly the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  •
  • As part of the CDC’s Social Distancing guidelines, Oldcastle Infrastructure is requesting all employees to take their temperatures before going to work, with any employee that has an elevated temperature staying home and/or seeking medical attention. Complying with other CDC Social Distancing guidelines, we have added more places for employees to safely take a break and eat lunch. We have changed how we manage our shifts and how our field service crews travel to job sites. We are also limiting access to our facilities. All visitors, including suppliers and customers, need pre-approval to visit an Oldcastle Infrastructure facility and must comply with our Social Distancing requirements, including the temperature-taking policy. Our employees’ safety is our priority, and we are not requiring any employee to work if he/she is not comfortable doing so.
  •
  • We will continue to make every effort to prevent product delivery disruptions, so our customers can continue to deliver essential infrastructure to our communities during these unprecedented times. Our supply chain, sales and services teams remain available to answer your questions and provide support at any time. Please reach out to your local representative with any questions.
